Mop up the fluid
The first step towards removing beer stains in rugs
is to deal with it the moment it happens or as soon as you see the spill on the
floor. Take a paper towel or ordinary towel and mop up as much of the spill as
you possibly can and as quickly as possible. This is to stop the spill from
getting soaked deeper into the rug fibers.
Scrub the stain
with a vinegar solution
Make a solution using two cups of warm water, one
tablespoon of liquid dish washing soap and two tablespoons of white vinegar.
Soak a sponge in the solution then gently bloat the affected area, before
dubbing, starting from the outside to the inside of the stain. If the stain is
old, you may have to do a little scrubbing with a soft piece of cloth so that
you don’t damage the fibers.
Remove the
remaining vinegar
Once the stain is completely removed, you need to
sponge the area using cool water to remove any traces of vinegar and the
detergent used. Then pat dry using a towel before letting the drug dry
naturally.
The method described above is not just for removing
beer stains alone. It is also effective in removing stains occasioned by white
wine or red wine spills on the rugs. For it to be effective, however, you need
to do it immediately the spill occurs. The longer you wait, the more difficult
it will be to remove the stain once it has dried up.
